Bluff Lodge also offers discount packages on your accommodation when you book Stewart Island experiences with us. Purchase your ferry tickets from us and receive a discount on your bed. As we are a small business, transactions must be in cash or by internet banking.

Hunters , Trampers , Fishermen :

For first timers Lex has contacts and information to help you in your planning. Give him a call and he can help you sort out things you’re unsure of. For first timers and old hands! Lex can also help out with things you may have forgotten.

Te Araroa Track Walkers :

I love welcoming Te Araraoa track heroes and heroines to the start or end of this epic adventure at Bluff Lodge. Smelly boots stay out in the porch but tired achy bodies can find the showers just inside the back door and a few more steps takes you to the washing machine for the clothes. I can provide you with a big towel to replace the clothes while they get washed and dried. Some people like private rooms while others prefer to stay with their travelling companions in group rooms. There is hi speed wifi to let the world know you have made it!  If the cash is running low I can recommend the Anchorage cafes takeaway blue cod and chips. Deeeelicious ! Its 80 metres down the road. They also have a good selection on their cafe menu. We also have other options for dining out for the more affluent bent on celebrating in Bluff. Talk to me. The bakery and the supermarket also offer good value options .

The Lodge’s lounge has a good selection of DVD’s  , videos, and plenty of magazines. I have noticed the jig saw puzzles are very poular as an individual or group challenge that exercises the brain but allows the body to recuperate. We have started a journal where walkers can record their names and share stand out memories. The Lodge is also a good preparation venue for organising a trip to Stewart Island where some intrepid individuals do the Northwest and or Southwest circuits.
